STONEY CREEK, ONTARIO, CANADA – I-Cubed announced today the appointment of Casey DiBattista as Vice President. In this role, Casey is responsible for communicating the strategic direction of I-Cubed and its related companies, as well as leading the development and implementation of annual goals, objectives and operating plans. He is also responsible for overall business development, sales, customer satisfaction, risk management and continuous quality improvement. He will play a lead role in managing the company’s technical, financial, information and human capital resources, including I-Cubed’s total commitment to health & safety.
Casey is an innovative thinker and seasoned executive with strong leadership, negotiation and relationship building skills, with a passion for implementing positive change. He comes to I-Cubed with over 30 years of experience in the automation industry including several senior management roles in multinational companies. His relentless pursuit of teamwork, customer satisfaction and strong long term relationships with key stakeholders and customers will accelerate I-Cubed’s rise to the top level of business excellence.
As a board member of the Research Innovation Commercialization Centre since 2009, Casey has played a significant role in rebuilding this organization into an influential voice of the business community in the advanced manufacturing, cleantech and the “Internet of Things” (IoT) business communities. Position Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Stoney Creek, ON
Summary Description
I-Cubed is a leader in the design and implementation of custom manufacturing solutions. Our mindset is the challenge of engaging and executing the opportunities provided by our customers that others cannot. Our customer base includes automotive, food processing, consumer good, pulp and paper and manufacturing. We are looking for a highly qualified designer that can meet customers needs as well as lead a team of designers to be innovative and cutting edge.
The engineering manager works closely with the sales, engineering and production teams to design, document and test industrial solutions. While being expected to lead a design team, this position will still require design work to be completed as the projects require. This position is expected to supervise a team of designers to complete projects on time and on budget. An excellent candidate would be able to develop and monitor procedures and policies that would increase the efficiency and transparency of the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities

Develop automation machinery designs

Perform engineering calculations required to achieve design goals

Complete and file all documentation that may be required for the design, safety and regulations

Support staff in the manufacture and troubleshooting of designs

Provide input to sales and business development staff on concepts and cost estimates

Meet with customers and project managers to develop a full understanding of customer needs and project requirements

Liaise closely with production leaders to ensure the efficient exchange of ideas and handoff of work.

Mentor junior engineering team members

Manage the research and development component of a variety of projects,

Prepare project procurement plans and requisitions
-
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Be co-operative, flexible and disciplined.

Maintain technical skills and adapt to change

Report regularly to the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
-
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-
5 years of related work experience
-
Requires professional qualification (P.Eng.)

Excellent computer skills and familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault software.
