STONEY CREEK, ONTARIO, CANADA – I-Cubed announced today the appointment of Casey DiBattista as Vice President. In this role, Casey is responsible for communicating the strategic direction of I-Cubed and its related companies, as well as leading the development and implementation of annual goals, objectives and operating plans. He is also responsible for overall business development, sales, customer satisfaction, risk management and continuous quality improvement. He will play a lead role in managing the company’s technical, financial, information and human capital resources, including I-Cubed’s total commitment to health & safety.
Casey is an innovative thinker and seasoned executive with strong leadership, negotiation and relationship building skills, with a passion for implementing positive change. He comes to I-Cubed with over 30 years of experience in the automation industry including several senior management roles in multinational companies. His relentless pursuit of teamwork, customer satisfaction and strong long term relationships with key stakeholders and customers will accelerate I-Cubed’s rise to the top level of business excellence.
As a board member of the Research Innovation Commercialization Centre since 2009, Casey has played a significant role in rebuilding this organization into an influential voice of the business community in the advanced manufacturing, cleantech and the “Internet of Things” (IoT) business communities. Position Title: Programmer/Electrical Designer
Location: Stoney Creek, ON
Summary Description
The Electrical Designer/Programmer will be responsible for the design of machine control software and the programming of an automation system. You will be required to program a variety of PLCs, HMIs (both standalone and PC based), Robots, Servo Systems, Vision Systems, and other devices.
Key Responsibilities

Design, program, test, and commission of automation instrumentation and control systems

Prepare technical documents and design specifications for control systems and installations
-
Write reports, user and maintenance manuals, procedures and qualification protocols
-
Work in collaboration with Electrical Designers and Mechanical Engineers for all projects
-
Work within the defined schedule estimates.

Involvement in controls projects, programming, motion, communication systems, electrical design, vision systems, and robotic integration
-
Manage project duties, specifying, ordering (if required), creating and maintaining punch lists, attending review meetings and undertaking and/or giving training courses.

The design and development of database and interface applications that integrate our clients’ control systems with our customer’s production and data management systems.

The programming and combination of various automation technologies (robots, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, etc.) into highly integrated systems.

Working with project management colleagues to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and to the highest levels of safety and quality.

Travel to commission and support systems at the customer facility
Minimum Qualifications
-
Minimum 2 years control system programming (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Rockwell and Siemens PLC's, HMI and SCADA)

Solid experience with AUTOCAD Electrical or EPLAN

Experience interpreting process control documents

Ability to operate under pressure on tight timelines while producing detailed documents

Ability to quickly shift focus from one technical issue to another while maintaining accuracy

Ability to schedule, prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously
-
Strong focus on customer relationships (external/internal)

Excellent written/verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities
-
“G” Driver’s license
-
Ability to travel in Canada and internationally (must have a valid passport)
